Ahmad Alshikh, founder and owner of Elevate Coffee Lab, began his journey in coffee 12 years ago with his first job in Syria, where bitter coffee was the norm and sugar needed. His perspective shifted in the Netherlands while working at different cafés and taking different courses, where he encountered coffee on an entirely new level—discovering origins, varieties, and flavors he never knew existed. Eventually he became Head Roaster at Keen Coffee. There, he deepened his understanding of roasting, processing, farmer relationships, and extraction. The dream of opening his own coffee bar stayed with him for over a decade. After six years of development, that dream became reality with the opening of Elevate Coffee Lab in October 2024.
Elevate Coffee Lab is dedicated to high-quality, consistent coffee experiences rooted in experimentation and transparency. Blending fine dining standards with specialty coffee, we experiment by serving a rotating menu every 6–8 weeks featuring diverse varieties from different guest roasters. We believe transparency is essential to the future of coffee, and we take it as our responsibility to highlight the people, stories, and processes behind every cup. Through hands-on workshops and genuine engagement with people in the café, we share these stories, handy tips and personal experiences to create a community together, to empower coffee lovers to brew better and to enrich their understanding of the world of coffee.
